Demonstrator Grant Awarded

We’re delighted to be one of the first two churches nationally to be taking part in the Demonstrator Churches project.  We’ve received a Church of England Demonstrator Churches grant of £50,000 with co-funding from the scheme’s partners, Benefact Trust, of £23,600.

These funds will help us transform our carbon footprint and energy use.  They enable us to:

• install heat pumps

• permanently reinstate a modernised version of the original architect’s underfloor heating system

• turn our open side chapel into a glazed, and so heatable, smaller worship space

As a growing church community we’re looking forward to being able to afford to heat our space for much of the week and welcome people into a warm bulidng!
