Parents with young children and babies are welcome to join with us in all our services. We do understand that it is not always easy for the children to be able to participate in the whole service and we therefore offer two main areas which can be used by parents and children at any time (see below).

If your child is aged 3 or older, then they may want to attend one of the children’s groups that meet during the service. Under 3’s can participate in the children’s activities alongside older children provided they are accompanied by a parent or another adult.

The Quiet Play Area
The quiet area is a carpeted space found near to the library, on the right hand side of the church where there are toys and books available for under 3s to use during the service. Parents must accompany their children at all times as this area is unsupervised.

Crèche in The Lounge
This room is situated beyond the organ and is available for any parents whose pre-school children prefer to play with more noisy toys or who are more mobile and active. We ask that crèche toys remain in the lounge both during and after the service in order to avoid accidents and no children should be in the church lounge unsupervised.

For those children who are too old to use the designated areas and prefer to stay in church the churchwardens will be happy to provide colouring materials or books for them to use with their parents in their seats.
